EVAL Q7
Looking back at your preliminary task, what did you feel have you learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
Futhermore, I did the last question as well with the help of PhotoBooth, which I used for record my self speaking. I also used a mind-map which I drew on a DIN A3 Paper and filmed all the Arrows up. In the end I put everything together in I Movie?
Some Pictures from the process: ( I also used all the logos from the software, which I learnt about the process of producing our media product)!

EVAL Q7 ESSAY
Evaluation (qu. 7)
How did the preliminary task prepare you for the creation of your film? What did you learn about the equipment software and from the creative process? How did your knowledge affect your perception of the main task? Were you excited? Uncertain? Do you feel the preliminary task was beneficial in preparation for the short film?
The preliminary task was hold quite simple and just a clip of about 12 shots. We have of course not taken it that seriously as the main video we had to do. We have taken about an hour and a half to make the preliminary task, whereas the main video took about 1 month and a half. So the preliminary task mainly prepared us in terms of using the editing program Final Cut Pro.
Therefore in comparison to the main product we had to think of the story, get used to the camera and learn filming. The problem there was that of course it was our first time making a video. Therefore the filming at the beginning was not that good and we had to refilm a lot in terms of darkness or facial expressions. In terms of the preliminary task we only had to film couple of scenes and cut them together, which of course was fun, but was actually compared to the final video pretty bad.
Our own knowledge got influence not in terms of the software, but in terms of the individual skills in filming, acting or thinking of the story. The good thing was that we both had actually the same ideas of the thriller, which means we both thought of something scary and dark murder scene. Furthermore we had to adapt the story on our possibilities given, like we had to use the location around the school. So our own knowledge and individual class.
I have answered the question mainly but not completely, because we decided spontaneously that we will make a mind map on a big sheet of paper with away of progression shown on it and the way we have developed.

EVAL Q6
I just finished Evaluation Questions 6 - What did we learnt about technologies we used?
I used again iMovie where I recorded my own voice to slides of a prasentation I created with PREZI.
Here is a short overview about the prasentation and the final iMovie version.
I basiclly talked about the whole process from the start until the finished opening sequence of Dark Vengeance. I included all the knowledge we gained due to lessons, softwares we used, websites we used and alle the equipment like tripond, camera, phones or props.
I used really often a sea-blue screen to give the audience an overview what I will talk about. As you can see in the pictures 3.1 and 2.3
This is the website I used for designing the prasentation:

EVAL Q6 ESSAY
Evaluation answering (question 6)
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constucting this product?
Discuss in detail all the different forms of media you have used throughout your coursework and how this has affected and influenced your understanding to different forms of media technologies.
This can include:
- The filming equipment ( cameras, Tripod, etc.)
- The editing software - Final Cut Pro
- Other software: In design, PowerPoint, Word, Motion, Garage band, etc.
- Your blog and everything that entailed to create and maintain it.
- YouTube, other videos (The Art of Titles), copyright free music, etc.
For
this question we have done a presentation on prezi.com. We will record
the presentation and will furthermore answer the question by audio on
top of the video presentation.
EVAL Q5
This is a short overview what I have done for the fifth evaluation question: How did you attract/adress you audience?
I used Xtranormal to create a Avatar, which answers my question in a quick way.
2) This is the process of desgining the avatar on the website.

EVAL Q1
IN WHAT WAY DOES YOU MEDIA PRODUCT USE; CHALLENGE OR DEVELOP FORMS AND CONVENTIONs OF A REAL MEDIA PRODUCT?
I needed to change my first Eval question, because i answered it with an essay and that was not good enough. So I used photo booth again to film myself and I used camtasia to record my thriller film and show some scne of it in my evaluation. So the are helpful to show the audience what I am actually talking about. To make it a bit more attractive i changed the colour of the scrren everytime I appear.
as you can see here.
EVAL Q1 ESSAY
I finished yesterday Evalulation question 1.
I did it with an Essay in Word, took screenshots from it and put it into a video on iMovie.
Thisis the draft of the Essay:

In
what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and
conventions of real media products?
If you compare my thriller
“Dark Vengeance” to a real thriller for example “The Crimson Rivers”, this film
is supposed to be a thriller out of the crime/ action sub-genre, but it also
includes a bit of psycho genre in it. So both opening sequences include
killing, but our titles definitively diver from that one in Crimson River.
The main point is that the
titles are on the actual shot and they are not on a black screen between each
shot. The use of the black screen was a really important effect for our
thriller, because we used it to build up tension and we used the style of
suspense, which was invented by Alfred Hitchcook. This is the point where the
cases study about thriller at the beginning of the term was really important,
to get to know such kind of stylistic device.
The main point of our film
challenging the characteristics is that we were actually looking for an adult
as the Criminal, but we compensated this really well with the fact that we
didn’t show the face of the criminal. We also tried to challenge a real thriller
film with the use of a soundtrack, which fits perfect to each appearance of our
titles, so this enhances the effect of it. We also imitated the kind of opening
sequences of Se7en, because the completely don’t use a voices or
speaking/acting in their opening scenes.
They just completely trust
their carefully picked soundtrack, which expresses the creepy mood of a
thriller perfectly and leaves the audience in expectations. This is the perfect
way to draws the audience into the whole film after a short and simple opening
sequence. As I knew after my interviews for EVAL Q4 the audience wanted to know
what happens next. So this is another point where we imitated a real thriller,
because we both had the same purpose with our opening sequences of Dark Vengeance.
We tried to imitate the
opening scene of one of the American Crime Series for example: Hawaii Five-O or
CSI Miami, NCIS, The Mentalist and NCIS L.A. So we tried to use these kinds of
opening scene and changed it into a kind of thriller genre. We both liked these
series and set us the challenge to make it suitable for a thriller.
Our Blog worked as a media
product, as well. We used a media product to distribute our main product throw
the whole world. So our two different media products came together and worked
together, this is called convergence. I think it is completely different to a
professional blog, because Film Studios that are producing a thriller film are
not using a blog to present their whole process to the audience. They are using
a whole film-team to create another film beside the thriller to show it from
behind the scene.

FINAL CHANGES
After our main Teacher checked our Video we need to change tiny bits of our Media Video.
1) the sound of the lighter didn´t match perfectly with the Lighting Cigarette Scene.
2) Some of the Titles scenes had a to long black screen before the fade in of the title.
3) When the Criminal pull the knife out of his trousers, you weren´t able to see the blade of the knife. So we picked a different Shot, because we did it from many angles.
4) we added a glim Effect to the scene´s where you able to see the blade in a better light.

FINISHED !!
We finsihed our Video today and are so proud, because in our opinon we created a amazing thriller opening scene. Here are some more of Screenshots. If we are able to get in on Youtube I will chare it immidiatly. Our final Title was RUN! and it is 2:02 minutes long. It includes about 15 titles .
SOUNDTRACK WORK
We have two Media Studies lesson`s today and our aim is to finish the new soundtrack with all important suspense parts. These a really important when the Vicitim turn his face around and we need to enhance the expression on his face with this sound.
Another really important shot, which requires perfect sound are the 3 shots when the Vicitm alias Marcel Lex fells over we are going to use three very quike and short suspense sounds.
The most important sound is the heartbeat when the victim is going to die and the audiences see`s a PointOfView from the victim. This needs to stop immidiatly after this shot, because it symbolizes that the victim just died.

WORK today
We worked this Saturday for 2 hours on the unite the soundtrack to the video. But we weren´t really affective, because after we added all the soundtracks we ended up with 3 different sound-lines. And in the end nothing really matched with each other so we dicided to create a new sountrack on monday were are all important suspense and heart-beats scene in one. So we need to create the sountrack as accurate as possible that we fit it perfectly with each scene on Logic Pro.

Change STORYBOOK
CHANGE IN STORYBOOK
We decided to leave the first part of our thriller with in the pub out. This decison happend, because we felt that the material we had was enough for the best possible video and the beginning would not be the best. So we change the first 5 Shots inside the pub, So I had quite a few great Ideas for three new scenes, which we added at the end, which are really good and fit perfectly to the plot of the opening scene.
1) So basiclly we left the first 7 scene´s out, as you see in these drafts. This is just to remind you, what we left out.
2) the opening scene starts now at the shot 8.
Starting to put SOUNTRACK on VIDEO
WORKING with SOFTWARE´s
We started to put our Soundtrack on the Thriller Video into Final Cut Pro. We started to cut the Sountrack under the the Video sequnce, which is basiclly finished and looks pretty good.
After we finished the re-filming on Monday, we have had a lot of good material to finish our Visual part of the opening scene.
1) this is how our Logic Pro looks like we are using this Program, but it is just a example. We finsihed this with about 12 Shots.
2) this is garageBand were we desgined our music song, this fit´s perfectly with the last scene. The last seen symbolizes the dying of the victim and we combined it with a heart beat sounds, which stops immediatly.
