Thriller sub-genre

1) Action Thriller: Physical Action is used to create tension.
Example: Kill Bill


2) Crime Thriller: This sub-genre's plot usually centers on a serial killer, murderer, robbery, or manhunt.
Example: Jagged Edge 

3) Spy Thriller: This usually with a spy from the government or the from a country, involves action loaded scenes and violent action.
Example: Unknown


4) Psychological Thriller: It contains elements of drama and mystery film. The actors in these kind of Thrillers must rely on their mental resources to solve situations.
Example: Taxi Driver 




5) Science Fiction Thriller:  incorporates with science-based themes into the plot of the film.
Example: District 9 




6) Religious Thriller: involves religious questions, ceremonies and objects.
Example: The Da Vinci Code








Director: ALFRED HITCHCOCK

Another important point is, Who are some of the most famous Directors?

He really often used the effect of suspense to arrest the audience with tension. He was born in Leytonstone, London in 1899 and died 1980 in Bel Air California. In Hollywood, the suspense and the gallows humor that had become Hitchcock's trademark in film continued to appear in his productions. Director: CHRISTOPHER NOLAN



Thirtly, a important Director for the Thriller Genre is Christopher Nolan.



Born 30 July 1970 is a British Film directos, he is well know for is film Inception and the The Dark Knight triology. He is loacted in Highgate London and Los Angles, California. He is really successful with his films, in total his films crossed US$3,5bn worldwide. he was nominated for 21 Academy Awards. 

His recent awesome film was "Inception" with Leonardo CiCaprio. It involves the sub-genre´s science fiction action thriller. 

Director: QUENTIN TARATINO

The second famous director is Quentin Tarantino. He was born 27th March 1963 in United States. he began his career as an independent filmmaker with films employing nonlinear storylines, satirical subject matter and the anesthetization of violence that often results in the exhibition of neo-noir characteristics.



He was involved in the production of "Kill-Bill Vol.2", which is an classic Action Thriller.
