Director: ALFRED HITCHCOCK

Another important point is, Who are some of the most famous Directors?

The god-father of Thriller genre is for sure Alfred Hitchcock. He is an English film director and a producer as well. He actually invented the sub-genre of psychological thriller. (http://florianberberichasmedia.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/what-is-thriller.html

He really often used the effect of suspense to arrest the audience with tension. He was born in Leytonstone, London in 1899 and died 1980 in Bel Air California. In Hollywood, the suspense and the gallows humor that had become Hitchcock's trademark in film continued to appear in his productions. His most famous film was "Psycho", you can watch this post in my previous blog about
Charasteristics of a thriller.
